Selank (Thr-Lys-Pro-Arg-Pro-Gly-Pro) is a synthetic analog of the tetrapeptide tuftsin, extended with a Pro-Gly-Pro C-terminal tail that improves metabolic stability. It was developed at the Institute of Molecular Genetics of the Russian Academy of Sciences, and most of its literature comes from the Russian analytical tradition — sequence work, stability studies and receptor-interaction assays in vitro.
